My Manicure Nails Are Peeling or Falling Off
If your manicure strips aren’t staying in place, here are a few tips to improve adhesion:
- Wash your hands with dish soap before application to remove oils and residue.
- Clean your nails to ensure a grease-free surface.
- Avoid applying cuticle oil or hand cream beforehand, as they reduce stickiness.

I have problems with filing/the edge looks messy.
If your manicure edges look uneven or frayed, here are some tips to achieve a clean, salon-like finish:
- Cure Before Filing: After applying the strips, trim them slightly longer than your nail edge (1–2 mm), cure under the UV lamp for 1 minute, then file to shape.
- Use a Fine File or Buffer: Gently file in one direction, from the outside toward the center, to avoid tearing.
- Avoid Pressure: Light strokes preserve the strip and prevent damage.
- Smooth It Out: A buffer can refine edges for a flawless finish.

My nails are too wide and the stripes are too small for me.
If the gel strips feel too narrow for your nails, try these tips to get the perfect fit:
- Gently Stretch the Strip: Hold the strip at the edges and carefully pull to widen it. Apply one side first, then stretch across the nail for full coverage.
- Apply Diagonally: For wide, short nails, apply the strip at an angle. Trim if needed.
- Before Stretching: Degrease your fingertips to avoid adhesion issues.

The color looks different than on the package.
Please note that the packaging may not always reflect the exact color of the UV Gel Strips. This is due to different production techniques: packaging is printed using the CMYK offset process, similar to how home printers work, while our strips are hand-mixed in batches according to precise color formulas, much like mixing paint. As a result, slight differences between batches are possible.
When choosing a color, we recommend using the preview images in the Belrina online shop for a more accurate representation. However, keep in mind that screen settings and monitor calibrations can also influence color perception.
We are doing our utmost to ensure that the colors are as accurate and true to life as possible across all our packaging, online materials, and the strips themselves.
My manicure nails are losing their shine.
If your Belrina nails lose their shine over time, restoring their gloss is simple. Everyday wear, tear, and chemical exposure can dull the finish.
To bring back that shine, apply a layer of top coat. This will form a protective layer and enhance the gloss. You can also use your preferred UV top coat, but be careful not to brush over the edges. This ensures easy removal without residue left behind, keeping your nails looking fresh and polished.
Can I use Belrina Nails if my nails are broken or damaged?
If you have broken or weakened nails, it's important to take extra care when using Belrina Nails. Here are some tips:
- Remove the nails gently with remover serum without applying pressure.
- Pamper your nails with a milk bath to provide moisture and nutrients.
- Use some Cuticle Oil to nourish and strengthen your cuticles.
- Maintain a balanced diet to support nail health
If your nails are severely damaged, allow them to heal first. For serious issues, consult a dermatologist.
